Danielle has worked in the field of nutrition, since 2004 and has worked with eating disorders since 2012. She understands the impact eating has on the mind and body and believes that nutrition does not need to be extreme to provide a positive outcome. Danielle practices a weight-neutral and inclusive approach to nutrition counseling. She does NOT prescribe or recommend restrictive diets for the purpose of weight loss. She WILL provide evidence informed, scientifically proven therapeutic meal plans for people with specific medical conditions, such as celiac disease, diabetes, food allergies, eating disorders, etc.; the sole goal of such a prescribed meal plan is to manage a specific medical or mental health condition(s).

She understands how through food we connect to our culture, community, and ourselves; and how when that connection is disrupted, we can become isolated and hypercritical of food, resulting in mistrust of our body and an over evaluation of weight and body shape. Often times food becomes the thing that separates us from engaging and rather than being a source of nourishment it becomes a source of discomfort, shame and even fear.
